Y2KAOS is the sixth release from the Ambient Temple of Imagination collective, constituting the culmination of five years of recording, featuring both new works and highlights from previous volumes. This compendium constitutes a piece of "rave"/electronic experimental music scene history, documenting live recordings and studio outgrowths of ten years of the "ambient experiment": all-night chill-room concerts and psychoactive ritual environments taken place at public events sprung from the unique soil of the San Francisco Bay Area. This truly underground sonic feast features the talents of over twenty local artists, including didgeridoo-master Stephen Kent, as well as a myriad of philosophical and spiritual luminaries.

SEOFON and RICHARD SUN of A TOI MYSTERY SCHOOL

Holistic health therapist, thelemite, fool, raving lunatic, herbalist, Taoist tantrik, Shaivite poet, C.C.M. originator, living-foods society spokesperson, and S.R.F. kriya yoga initiate (amongst other profes- sions), Richard Sun primarily activates the catalyzing force of ATOI's "Mystery School", along with the Seofon, whose true identity is con- sidered a real mystery in our present state of evolution. The intent of the collective is to create a forum for scientific exploration of sound on consciousness, embracing the complete aesthetic spectrum, and providing an alternative to the limits of the modern music entertain- ment paradigm. A TOI is more than a "band" or "music": it is an open vehicle for the coming-together and transmission of ideas. As stated in their acclaimed 1997 album Planetary House Nation, ATOI is:
